The objective of the Practical Nursing Program is to provide a positive learning environment; to offer quality and affordable education; to demonstrate that learning is a lifelong process; to demonstrate that change and growth is ongoing in itself, the environment and the healthcare industry; to provide the theoretical knowledge and clinical instruction necessary to prepare the program completer to obtain licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse, LPN.

The Practical Nursing program at Ruby’s Academy for Health Occupations prepares students for careers in hospitals, convalescent centers, clinics, home care, and physicians’ offices. The program focuses on preparing individuals to assist in providing general nursing care under the direction of a healthcare professional.
