Thank you for your interest in training to becoming a Behavioral Health Technician (BHT).
As a BHT you will most often assist counselors and therapists by providing critical support services to clients who are receiving drug rehab, substance abuse or mental health treatment in a variety of treatment settings. With this certification you will be taking a huge step forward in your career in the addiction industry.
Here at Ruby’s Academy for Health Occupations you’ll learn the skills and knowledge necessary for receiving the Behavioral Health Technician designation from the Florida Certification Board (FCB) that will open up doors in the recovery industry.

Certified Behavioral Health Technician standards for certification
|Degree:||High School Diploma, GED or higher|
|Work Experience:||1,000 hours of direct experience in behavioral health which must have occurred over the past 5 years. Volunteering is not eligible.|
|Supervision:||24 hours which must include a minimum of 4 hours per performance domain. Remaining hours may be met in any performance domain. Supervision must have been accrued during the past 5 years.|
|Training:||30 hours of training from an FCB approved education provider within the past 10 years allocated as follows:
• Clinical Competence – 8 hours
|Written Test:||CBHT Exam
